Deriving its name from the famous 'rule of thirds' principle of composition and the initials of founder Mark Antony Franklin... R3MAF was launched in 2001 as a means to display a diversified body of photographic work and original artwork.  It is now one of the most popular websites of its kind, subsequently achieving Top 10/20 status with many of the Internet's leading search engines including Google.

Comprehensively redesigned for 2010 the new R3MAF website continues to display an ever evolving collection of wide ranging and award winning imagery that reaches back over two decades and covers almost every topic and field of human endeavor ...and images exhibited within the galleries have been shot on location in over 50 countries using both 35mm/medium format film (scanned on high resolution Nikon Coolscans for digital rendition) and full-frame DSLR cameras.

Formerly a CPS Canon Professional, and now registered NPS Nikon Professional, all work produced from early 2009 is exclusively shot on Nikon full frame DSLR cameras and accompanying professional Nikkor and Leica R lenses.  For picture editors and visitors wishing to know what software, bodies and lenses are being utilised, a comprehensive list of hardware & software presently used is itemized on a specification page.

A member and/or contributor of Alamy, Corbis and Getty Images, many of the photographs on R3MAF have been published and exhibited in galleries throughout the world; and print orders to customer specification can still be placed directly, care of this website, by contacting Victoria Salveson.
